Another factor to be considered when selecting a veil is the hairstyle during the big day. For a heavy head piece or long veil, one should opt for a hairstyle that is an up-do and a short veil is appropriate if the bride chooses to have her hair down. Just remember that the veil will, in a sense, be competing with the hairstyle.
