Wedding Officiant

Choosing who will marry you may not be as crucial as whom you will marry, but it is still an essential part of your wedding ceremony.  Your officiant will not only set the tone for the occasion, he/she will make sure your marriage is legal!  Many times, in the rush to set the date, choose the venue, arrange for food, take care of decorations, and meet with the band or DJ, we forget about who will be standing up there with us as we take our vows.  You may have read it once or twice in a wedding planning guide, but have you really thought about it? Who do you want with you on the most important day of your life?

The first step is to decide if you want a religious ceremony or secular.  If you choose a religious officiant, like a pastor or priest, they may require that you and your future spouse receive pre-marital education or counseling.  The religious or secular nature of a wedding is an important consideration, too, because it often affects the ceremony itself as faiths celebrate marriage in different ways.  In many religious ceremonies, there is a great deal of tradition and ritual, which may be just what you want. Or it may not be.  Your choice of officiant may be affected, at least in part, by the type of wedding you want.

clip_image001Before you speak with possible officiants, think about what, exactly, you want them to do.  Yes, they will pronounce you husband and wife, but do you have other expectations?  Do you want him/her to plan or write the ceremony?  Help at the rehearsal?  Help ensure the ceremony runs smoothly?  Book another officiant for you if he has an emergency or is sick on your wedding day?  These details may seem small now, but they won't when you are walking down the aisle.

You should like your officiant.  If it is not possible to engage the services of someone you know, then meet with possible candidates and see how you respond to them.  Are they warm and personable?  Do they have a nice voice that will carry?  Do they speak well and fluently?  Do they seem happy about performing your ceremony?  More and more weddings today can be termed “nontraditional.” Will your officiant be open and accepting of blended families, of couples in which one or both partners has been divorced, of interracial, interfaith, or same sex couples?  Will he be willing to perform the ceremony in your chosen locale?  All of these questions, and more, are important to discuss prior to any agreement.

In the hustle and bustle of planning a wedding, don't forget to dot your i's and cross your t's.  Make sure to book your officiant as soon as possible to ensure he/she will be available.  And do make sure he/she is legally authorized to marry you!  The requirements vary by state.  Check your state here to make sure that everything is in order.

Another consideration is the officiant's fee.  This, of course, will depend on the individual, the area, and the specifics of the ceremony, as well as how much responsibility the officiant has.  The fee can be as little as $50 or as much as $1,500.  According to the Bridal Association of America, the average fee for a justice of the peace is $50 to $100.  A retired judge or intern minister typically costs between $100 and $200, while a church official or professional officiant costs between $200 and $400.  If this seems high, remember that this is often the lowest fee among all the vendors you will engage, and it is the most important as well.

An option more and more couples are choosing is to have a friend or family member ordained.  This way, a loved one can perform the ceremony.  The Universal Life Church, for instance, ordains clergy for this purpose.  They have ordained more than 20 million people online.  The laws in your state may allow this or have conditions, so if you are interested, check the ULC site for more information.

Choosing an officiant for your wedding takes some consideration and time; don't settle for less than your ideal. It will make all the difference on your wedding day when you like both people who are waiting for you at the end of the aisle.

perfect red lips for brides

We have mentioned so many times the rule of makeup, which says that when embellishing your face you must focus only on your eyes or only on your lips. In the following lines we would like to pay a special attention to “only on your lips part” and talk about the ideal red lipstick for your bridal look.

So, let’s talk about the perfect red lips. You have seen them so many times on models and I bet you would like to have them at your wedding ceremony. However, you should know that you must match the red lipstick with your skin tone. There are many shades, and as a result you must find your own. Warm red, i.e. that orange red would look fantastic on a warm undertone, whereas a cool red complements better a cool undertone. Now, what you will have to figure out is what type of undertone you have.

You could try the jewellery method. If silver jewelleries fit you better than gold ones, then you have a cool undertone, which means that you will have to use a cool red lipstick. This type of lipstick has a more bluish hue to it, for instance you may try a red stiletto.

The second means through which you may find the appropriate red for your bridal look is the white clothes method. You must compare if a true white or an off white looks better on you. If the off white is the winner, then you have a warm undertone. In this case you must wear a warm red on your lips, in order to get a fabulous bridal appearance. As we have previously mentioned this warm red has a more orange undertone to it. In this way you will obtain a radiant glow, absolutely necessary for your wedding day.

Or, you could try the wrist method. Anyway, when using this method you must be outdoors, because you need natural lightning. What you will have to do is to look closely at your veins: if they are blue you have a cooler undertone, whereas if they are olive you have the opposite, the warm undertone. But, if you can tell what colour your veins have and if you look good on both silver and gold, it means that you are neutral. In this case you are lucky and you may wear both cool and warm reds.

The importance of realizing which is: your undertone is the fact that your skin will instantly become brighter. And since every bride desires to be radiant and glamorous, then these steps are very important in obtaining a luxurious appearance.

What are the themes to consider for 2012?

Vintage is the new glamour in 2012. If you Google the wedding options for 2012, vintage is by far the most popular theme suggested by most wedding experts. Victorian-themed weddings are something to look forward to next year. In fact, you can already find plenty of Victorian-inspired dresses online, which goes to say that many brides would be wearing those Queen Victoria-type wedding dresses—long skirts, corsets, and high necklines, all but with a modern edge. Popular fabric choices for the bride’s gown include lace, linen, cashmere, silk, organdy, and tulle. If you would go for this theme, aside from concentrating on the entourage’s wardrobe and the overall decoration, you may also incorporate the Victorian-inspired theme in your invitations, wedding favors, flowers, and cakes. Fill up the church with roses, for gardens during the Victorian times are filled with these symbols of love. Candlesand lanterns would also be popular choices for lighting, since Victorians are all about being romantic.

Match your theme with the season. When you say “wedding theme,” it does not have to be something grand or something super crazy since your guests might think they are attending a birthday party rather than a wedding. If you prefer something simple yet memorable, you can match your wedding with the season.

Spring is a wonderful time for weddings and if you plan to get married during this time, you may consider matching your wedding theme with it. Yellow, along with other bright colors, is not much of a wedding color next year. Go for subtle tones instead such as peach, apricot, and blush. Aside from the fact that these colors are pleasing to the eyes, they are very feminine, highly chic, and exceptionally romantic.

Match the decorations and the bridesmaids’ dresses with the wonderful colors of spring.

Do-It-Yourself. Many couples are now into DIY weddings, not only because they want to add their personal touch to their wedding but more importantly because of budget considerations. This is a good choice for couples with plenty of time to spend before the big day comes as well as for those who have creative hands so as to make everything pleasing and presentable to the guests. In addition, it is an opportunity for the couple to bond well before the big day comes. If you are running out of time, you can simply choose three to five items to personalize: invitations, favors, playlist of wedding songs, guest book, and table decorations. Do not forget to add a signature or something that would tell the guests that you personally created and arranged those items.

Preparing for a wedding is something that couples should take seriously. Deciding on a wedding theme is one way of getting your wedding organized, for not only it creates a unifying idea for your wedding where you can get all things started; it also makes your day extra special for everyone to remember.

Elegant Toast for the Bride and Groom

People often relate toasts with celebration. A toast is a ritual often used to celebrate success  or new beginning . A person, usually the host, speaks first about the person to whom the toast is dedicated, after which all in attendance will raise their glasses and drink to the person honored.

In wedding receptions, a toast is one of the many traditions that must not be missed. Although anyone can propose a wedding toast, normally the father’s bride proposes the first toast. The father thanks the guests for joining the celebration and expresses happy wishes to the newlyweds. The best man follows and his speech is often filled with humor and other playful interjections for the couple. The last to propose is the maid of honor, who directs her wishes and advices to the bride. The final toast is done by the groom, by expressing his thanks towards his in-laws for hosting the affair as well as the guests for attending the most important day of their lives.

When and how wedding toasts began is not exactly known. Some say the tradition comes from the Greeks, wherein the host of the wedding ceremony would drink wine first from a common pitcher to assure the guests that it is not poisoned. After which, the host would pass the pitcher to the guests. There are some sources who say that it used to be the host who drinks last from a cup of wine, which was passed around accompanied by a piece of toast. After drinking, the host would eat the toast as a way of honoring the guests.

Meanwhile, wine or champagne has been the traditional beverage used when making a toast. Wine has been a symbol of love, abundance, life, and vitality. For those who have experienced drinking wine from a common glass, it has been a symbol of deep and intimate sharing.

Whatever the origin of wedding toast is, the fact that it has become embedded in the tradition of wedding makes it one of the most anticipated parts of the wedding reception and ceremony.

Wedding flutes are integral part of a wedding reception but they are often overlooked in favor of other details such as table decors. While it is uncommon to give toasting flutes to the bride and groom, for those who are fond of giving advanced gifts, it is a wonderful choice to the would-be spouses. If you are planning to give these as a presents, or you are one of those people helping the couple in organizing their wedding, or if you and your partner are personally selecting your toast glasses, it is important to select elegant toasting flutes for the big day.

Toasting flutes add a touch of elegance on the reception tables. Unlike ordinary glasses, their goblet shape, tall frame, and delicate material add to their sophisticated look. There are the classic ones that are made of pure glass; there are also the more special ones that are designed with crystals, engraved with the couple’s names, wedding date, or personalized message, or edged with gold lines. Engraved toasting flutes are especially popular these days especially to couples that really want to treasure every piece of material and decor that has been used in their wedding. Some can also be customized for a more personalized touch.

Wedding flutes are necessary accessories that required as much attention as the food during the occasion. A wide array of colors and designs are available for anyone who is interested or looking for such item. There are those that can be uniquely crafted according to your preference. You can even match the goblets that you will buy with the theme of your wedding.

ecause toasting flutes are customary to make every wedding day an affair to remember, make sure to carefully select toasting flutes that represent the couple best. For not only the speeches that a toast can be made memorable, it is also through the elegant toasting flutes meticulously selected for the bride and the groom.

Home Wedding

You may prefer to be married in your home or a parent's home for a number of reasons. Home weddings tend to cost less and provide a more intimate atmosphere. Many celebrity couples choose to hold their weddings at home because this type of ceremony allows for more privacy. Because of space limitations, good planning is essential for the comfort of your guests.

Determine the maximum amount of people that can comfortably fit into each room or outdoor space at the home.

Calculate if the space can accommodate your entire guest list. If not, you must either edit your list so that it fits on the property or find a new wedding venue that can accommodate all of your guests.

Decide whether you want to host all of the wedding festivities or just one component

Vendors, such as caterers, bands, and videographers, require space and electricity. Make sure your home can provide them with the tools and real estate they need.

Think about what location in the house will work best for the ceremony and how many people will comfortably fit in the space. Include the number of vendors who will be present. You should also make sure all vendors will have ample space to work with.

Contact vendors and ask them if they are willing to work in the house. Be sure to cover any specific accommodations they will need and whether they will charge a fee for travel. This also applies to the wedding officiant. If the location is remote and/or a long distance from where he is located, the officiant may request transportation and/or housing.

Have an inspector come out and make sure the wiring and structure of the home are safe to hold the wedding. If you will be using a lot of electricity (for catering and the band's hookups, for example), you don't want to run the risk of blowing a fuse.

If you are committed to hosting your wedding at home, first determine how many guests your venue will allow. Then begin making and refining your guest list. Make sure to take full advantage of your space by envisioning the potential seating arrangement and floorplan.

Check with your neighborhood's governing body to see if you need any special permits. If you will hold the reception in the yard, perhaps with music, you may need a party or noise permit to avoid getting a ticket or disturbing your neighbors.

Have a parking plan, and explain it to your guests in the invitations. If parking will be limited at the house and/or the street leading to it, consider using a nearby parking lot and shuttling guests.

Open up as much of your house as possible, including the yard, to guests. This will help diffuse the group, making it less crowded.

Run the air conditioner. No matter how nice it is outside, packing your house full of people will send the temperature upward. Your guests will already be stuffed into uncomfortable clothes as is.

Be considerate of your neighbors, even if it is your wedding day.

If parts of your wedding are indoors, then run the air conditioner. No matter how nice it is outside, packing your house full of people will send the temperature upward.

Don't rely on the yard as your only option for the ceremony or reception. You need a backup plan in case of rain.

Make sure to schedule home maintenance well in advance of the wedding date. Call at least a month in advance and book the gardener and a maid service to service the home on the day before the wedding.

Avoid Wedding Dance Embarrassments

Many envision the first dance at their wedding as a scene straight out of a fairy tale: Cinderella and her Prince Charming gracefully gliding across the stage. Some fun-loving couples want to show their pizazz with a number that looks like a scene from "Footloose." Whatever your dancing dreams may be, it will take some time and effort if you weren't born with a talent for fancy footwork. Take these steps to eliminate embarrassment and bebop to your heart's desire.

Dance lessons can always boost one's self confidence and skills.

Check with local dance studios to see if they offer engagement classes to teach you the basics and choreograph your first dance.

Be sure to practice dancing in the actual shoes you will wear at the reception.

How to Prevent a Dance Disaster

Take a class. If you are paranoid about waltzing onto the dance floor with two left feet, gain some confidence and skills by taking a wedding dance class. You can either take a group class with a bunch of other couples, or sign up for private dance lessons to focus where you and your fiancee can customize a first dance. Look up dance studios in the yellow pages or check with your local Parks & Recreation Department to see if there are community lessons.

Learn from a video. Maybe you aren't comfortable breaking loose in a classroom setting in front of other people. Perhaps the classes are too expensive or inconvenient. The next best thing to classroom instruction is an instructional video. You can view thousands of user-created wedding dance tutorials on YouTube, or purchase a recorded instructional DVD.

Wear the proper shoes. To minimize the chance of twisting your ankle or doing a face-plant straight into the groom's cake, don't wear five-inch stilettos. You're better off wearing something flat and comfortable, such as ballet slippers. Trust me; your calves will thank you in the morning. Even if you want to wear stilettos during the ceremony, you can still slip into something more practical for the reception. As for men, be sure the soles of your shoes still have proper grip. You don't want to sliding across the freshly waxed dance floor.

Set a boundary for the booze. Although alcohol might make you feel like a top-notch dancer, odds are it won't make you look like one. Limit your consumption of alcohol until after you are finished dancing or at least until there are enough people out on the dance floor to minimize the humiliation of you attempting Tom Cruise's dance solo from "Risky Business."

Select the right song. Don't pick a song that's so fast your feet can't keep up with the tempo. Don't pick a song so slow that you end up awkwardly swaying like you're back at high school prom or so long that your guests start snoozing in the buffet line. For a good mix of songs to choose from, visit Richmond Presents. Pick a song that expresses your feelings for each other but is easy to dance to.

Practice, practice, practice! Try and steal a few minutes with your fiancee on the day before the wedding to run through the steps in the actual space. Adjust your first dance for the limitations of your dance floor.

Aside from your choreographed wedding dance, dance with your fiancee to modern dance songs that you think will be played at the wedding.

Dance in large groups or circles if you're not confident enough to dance with only one other person. Watch the rest of the dancers for the pace and rhythm of a song if you're unsure what to do.

Memorize a few wedding staples, such as the Chicken Dance, Macarena, and Electric Slide.

Weddings on a New Year's Eve

Romantics enjoy the idea of starting a new life together at the stroke of a new year, but there are some logistics to cover. You can create a special atmosphere planning a New Year's wedding whether on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day.

For the New Year's Eve wedding, the obvious is to have noise makers and confetti for your guests. Here are some additional ideas for New Year's weddings:

• Hosting your ceremony around 7 and the reception at 8:00 PM is a good rule of thumb. Typically a venue allows 5 hours, so this way it will last from 8 PM until 1 AM. You want your guests to stay at least until the stroke of midnight.

• In the center of the dance floor, have a huge sack of balloons tied up, ready to release at the stroke of midnight. Pile on noise blowers, party hats, confetti, streamers and even funky glasses to use by the guests. The reception hall can be decorated with these colorful party items as well, or can be kept to a classic black and silver theme. As the night wears on, the hall will become more and more festive as guests take it upon themselves to play with the party supplies. Also, set up a large clock to count the seconds with your guests.

• Consider having an espresso or cappuccino machine set up as well. Having a dedicated barista is a nice touch for a New Year's Eve wedding. This is useful for guests who are not used to staying up late.

• New Year's Eve wedding calls for a cocktail party dress code rather than black tie. Instead of serving a full seven course meal, serve items such as hot wings, scallops and bacon, mini sandwiches and lots of desserts. A chocolate fountain adds a special touch to a late night.

• Have guests make New Year's resolutions at their tables, seal them in envelopes, and leave them in a basket by the door. You will mail those out later in January to your guests as a reminder of the resolution and of your wedding.

• One of the hurdles to overcome is the cost factor, venues charge more for their use on this night. You will need to book early and let your guests know at least a few months in advance since they may have standing plans. With that said, New Year's Eve wedding is a night with lot of fun.

Valentine's Day Wedding

Weddings are romantic. Period. There is no question about that. Many couples decide to get married during the most romantic season of the year. And, why not? Valentine's Day is a romantic holiday; add a wedding to the day and you have the setting for some special happenings. Here are some ideas you may consider for a Valentine's Day wedding:

  • Choose a romantic setting: a lovely church, a romantic country inn, bed & breakfast or winery, a castle or historic mansion. Cozy, intimate and charming should be the words for the day!

  • Greet your guests with romance from the moment they walk in. You can do this beautifully and simply with white floating candles and red rose petals in crystal bowls of water on either side of the entrance.

  • Have the ushers give flowers to each of your female guests as they arrive.

  • Go with a red, pink, and white color scheme. Rich red tablecloths, touches of pink in the flowers, and white linen napkins can give a striking appearance to your reception. Add white votive candles and red or pink confetti sprinkled on the tables, and you have pure romance.

  • Use heart-shaped everything at the wedding and reception like heart-shaped candelabrum, unity candles with hearts on them, a guest book in the shape of a heart, heart shaped chocolates, napkins with hearts etc. Have two intertwined hearts printed on the front of your programs.

  • Have place cards or table numbers written on heart-shaped cards. Obviously, don't forget the heart-shaped wedding cake. Top it off with a hand blown glass figurine of two hearts. Gifts for your bridesmaids may include heart-shaped jewelry either to wear at the wedding or for their personal enjoyment.

  • Consider a gown in a pale shade of pink, or wear a traditional white gown and dress your bridesmaids in varying shades of pink or the traditional Valentine's Day red velvet. Accessorize with heart-shaped or ruby jewelry. Wear roses in your hair. Carry a bouquet of one dozen red roses.

  • Have your florist send a balloon bouquet, heart-shaped, of course, to your groom on the morning of your wedding. Write a love poem and attach it with a pretty ribbon. What a romantic way to start the day!

  • Consider ending your Valentine's Day ceremony with a lovely dove release, or have your guests shower you with rose petals from petal cones.

  • Celebrate LOVE!

Mistakes in wedding Dresses

For many years now, an innumerable number of women who planned their wedding all to the last detail fall into the trap of making their sole mistake in choosing their bridesmaid dresses. While the main attraction, for the most part, continues to be the bride and her elegant wedding dress, the magical aura could easily be destroyed by horrendous bridesmaid dresses that overwhelm pictures. There is an unspoken rule in wedding couture that dresses should always compliment, but not overtake, the attraction of the wedding dress. If this rule is broken, fashion disaster that the bride would carry for the rest of her marriage and family life would ensue. This could be avoided, though, if women are QQ截图20120203121115.pngfamiliarized by the common mistakes that are done by brides over the years in matching their wedding dress.

Perhaps the most pertinent, brides have the tendency of choosing horrendous dress styles that clash with the wedding dress in design, color, and texture. The vital part in choosing and designing the wedding dress that will compliment your wedding dress is the material to be used and the color palette. One of the shockingly funny cases of wedding couture mishaps happen when the dresses are in unusually shocking colors, and in atrocious styles. The more scary mistakes happen when couples choose weird wedding themes. Wedding themes that were amusing, not because of their exceptional style but rather because of hilarity, range from cowboy wedding couture, disco wedding couture, and other weird wedding themes. We understand that there is a certain range of freedom given to women in choosing their wedding themes and dresses, but going overboard could turn your wedding into a hilarious fashion disaster. Do not make the mistake of going for extremes in choosing wedding dresses and bridal dresses. What should be a sacred and solemn event could just turn into a mosh pit of hilarity.

Thankfully, though, wedding dresses and dresses in Toronto, one of Canada's centers in wedding couture, have experts in wedding designs that would not let you make the mistake in wedding fashion mishaps. Bridesmaid dresses in Toronto are off-the-rack, but you are given the chance to have them adjusted and altered to fit the design you want. Taking into consideration the wedding dress design itself, dresses in Toronto which are available in varied styles and material could be specially ordered, even if you are from far places in the world. The secret of Toronto wedding couture stores is in keeping dresses simple, but elegant. This way, they could be altered and customized for their customers without sacrificing the sophistication that they exude. The various designs of dresses in Toronto also ensure that customers are not going to make the mistake in clashing the designs of the wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses.

A woman's wedding would forever be remembered as one of her fondest life moments. One should not risk tainting it with wrong fashion choices when in comes to wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses.

Cleaning Silver Wedding Jewellery

The majority of the wedding jewellery that is ordered is silver and silver needs a little looking after to keep it shiny and tarnish free. This tarnishing is a normal process that happens with all types of silver and it's a chemical reaction that happens on the surface. But because it is only on the surface even the most tarnished pieces of silver wedding jewellery should be salvageable but the best thing to do is to prevent your wedding jewellery from getting tarnished in the first place.

Silver tarnishes because it comes into contact with Hydrogen Sulphide which is in our atmosphere and every day objects. You can't stop the tarnishing process but you can slow it down by caring for your silver wedding jewellery properly.

As silver tarnishes when it comes into contact with Hydrogen Sulphide there are a number of things you can do to slow down tarnishing such as keeping it in a dry airtight container as humid environments speed up the tarnishing process. Don't store them in paper, cardboard or wool as these also contain Hydrogen Sulphide. Handle your wedding jewellery as little as possible as the natural oils on your skin will accelerate the tarnishing process.

If it's only lightly tarnished and not an intricate piece then you may be able to restore the shine with a silver polishing cloth. These cloths are really inexpensive and often leave an anti tarnish barrier helping to prevent against further tarnishing. If your jewellery has a yellow tinge then you might need to clean it in a silver cleaning solution or use this nifty trick. Grab yourself a bowl, kitchen foil, bicarbonate of soda and boiling water. Place the piece of wedding jewellery in the bowl with the kitchen foil and sprinkle the bicarbonate of soda of it then pour over the boiling water. The reaction between the foil and the bicarbonate of soda removes the tarnish.

I've used this method with jewellery containing Swarovski crystal beads but haven't tested it on other gems or pearls so take care not to destroy your jewellery if it isn't created from Swarovski crystals and silver.

White Bridal Headpieces

We are happy to present you a few of our favorite bridal headpieces created exclusively for all-white weddings. These pieces look chic and feminine, sophisticated and fashionable. There is nothing more suitable for a wedding than the white color. This theme is back in trend and it seems that this time is here to stay.

White is the official nuance of weddings and this is why it will never fall out of fashion. No matter how other colorings and trends will emerge, white remains the color of spirituality, holiness and virginity. Any woman can obtain a precious soft clean look wearing white on her Big Day. And now you have more reasons to adopt the all-white style for your wedding since this theme is considered so fashionable right now!

We can't think of another color that can say "bridal" more than white. 2012 brides are invited to be part of the most beautiful white wedding projects created for contemporary affairs. We brought some of the most unique and appealing hairpieces a bride can select for a fancy white wedding look. These accessories are created and beautified with flowers and feathers and they can fit both the classy and modern looks.

There is something pompous about these headpieces that make us think of the sophisticated brides who usually prefer something more outstanding and eye-catchy. The following images are highly relevant for this subject and inspiring for those who are seeking for white hair fascinators and adornments. These accessories look divine and they fit perfectly the idea of a religious ceremony.

We can also notice that the style adopted for this collection is inspired by the old couture. Luxurious, unique and eye-catchy, these pieces are to fit a royal-inspired wedding planned in a more comfortable location. There is something extravagant about these pieces that can suit a formal affair, but they also look feminine and delicate and this means they are appropriate for ultra-formal weddings too.

These designs are definitely worthy to be followed or taken into consideration for a contemporary wedding! The first white headpiece features a flamboyant design fit for an extravagant look. This is a sculpted mesh adorned with a bloom atop. This feathered fascinator headband can fit bun hairstyles. Another elaborated accessory is the second horsehair flower piece.

This is satin-wrapped headband made for brides who want something playful, festive and easy to remark from afar. Want something even more sumptuous? Take a look at the third sculpted mesh headband. This dramatic piece is topped with lavish blooms and ribbon accents. We adore the fancy headband in the last picture. This one is a feather & veil fascinator fit for a voguish bride.

Side Swept Wedding Hair

Choosing a certain hair do for your wedding is a hard thing to do. The most important detail is to remember that everything has to be in accordance with your figure, your attitude and the theme of the wedding. If you wish on having an elegant event with classy decorations, fashion clothes and incredible accessories, we will recommend you the side swept dos. This sort of styling complements a lot of body and face types and will highlight long locks that shine in the most glamorous way.

Used for almost a hundred years, the side wept wedding hairstyles have been around brides for just a little. More suitable for 1940s and 1950s pin up girls, now it's the most tasteful way of drawing attention to your hot side rather than to your white cute one. The main characteristic of this do is that it has the strong ability of making a face seem rounder and more feminine. Ideal for women with a longer face figure, the side swept wedding hair will elongate the neck and soften any more harsh features. You have many variations to choose from around this main style. You can wear your hair up or let it down flowing on one shoulder.

The let down version is a more sensational one. A longer length of hair with a little bit of volume would look fabulous. You can choose to have it wavy or straighten up. The most popular choice is a lot of volume on the top, where the hair is smoother and loose waves on the bottom. In all cases you can use accessories and in contrast with the other hair styles, these accessories will pop immediately when you enter a room. If you want to look more romantic and nice, rather than like a diva, you can opt for less volume on the top and soft waves on the let down part.

If let down hair is not for you, you can improvise any type of bun to be worn with the front locks in a side swept arrangement. You can even include braiding. Starts from the front and braid to the back very close to the head; when you reached the back side of your head secure it and let it flow, but remember that volume is compulsory on the other side of your head. Lastly, you bring the remaining hair up and decorate with a few small flowers. This is the coolest fairy look for a wedding!

Hair Accessories for Beach Weddings

If you're planning on getting married on a golden sandy beach under a cloudless blue sky and warm sun then you probably aren't the type of woman who wanted a big white traditional wedding in a church with a huge white dress, train and veil. You might not even be the type to wear a wedding tiara, but prefer something more causal or low key. So what are your options for decorating your hair at your beach wedding?

If you're wearing your hair down, then a side tiara or wedding headband might be the easiest option. They're simple to wear and can easily be slipped into place without the need for a hair dresser or a friend to help you. If you're not a headband kind of girl and to be honest I don't feel like any type of headband suits me then you might want to choose something else.

A lot of brides wear their hair half up and half down which gives them plenty of options for decorating their wedding hair. The first thing that springs to mind is a wedding comb which can be worn to the side or the back of the hair, again these are pretty easy to place but you might need to have a few practice sessions just to make sure that you can slide it into your hair at the right angle and make sure it stays were it's supposed too.

If you don't fancy the weight of a bridal comb them you could always choose grips. These could be made from crystals, pearls or diamante and be as simple or as detailed as you like. They don't need to be functional, so if you've used other things to keep your hair in place you can just slide them in to your hair where you want them. After a headband these are probably the easiest bridal hair accessory to place. You can get most wedding hair grips designs on hair pins. These are the longer 2 pronged pins which hold buns and other chunky hair styles in place. If you're used to styling your hair with regular hair pins then you shouldn't have any problems using these.

Bridal hairvines are becoming more popular for beach weddings, this is because of their range of uses and the causal style. Depending on how you're planning on wearing your hairvine you may need a friend on hairdresser to style your hair properly, but if you're using a short hairvine just to highlight the parting of your hair or follow the sweep of your fringe you shouldn't have a problem securing it yourself with a few hair grips.

Of course if you want to there's nothing stopping you from wearing a wedding tiara at your beach wedding, but I find many brides prefer a more casual look.

Summer Bridal Braids

One of the greatest come backs of the year is the braided wedding hairstyle. It seems that this type of hairdo is back in trend for ceremonies and our wedding hairstylists are happy to experiment and promote their own creative ideas. Braids are now very hot and we are happy to see that more and more women are taking into consideration this style for their own big day.

The trend with graceful braids took a festive turn in 2011 and nowadays we can see lots of unique ideas in magazines and runaway shows. The delicate braids are ideal for white aisle looks and they can fit both the modern and vintage brides.

Experts in field recommend the braided hairstyle especially for bohemian brides who are planning a chic nonchalant look for the wedding day. The arrangements we're showing here are perfect for summer time affairs because they are soft, loose and natural. If you always wanted to wear something cozy and easy going on your wedding day, then this hairstyle is ideal for you.

The natural look is very trendy and it can suit outdoors celebrations or any other type of wedding planned with a green theme. However, it's not mandatory to plan an eco-friendly ceremony to adopt this beautiful style. Keep it casual and everything will look gorgeous. This hairstyle is classic yet very voguish, simple yet sophisticated, feminine yet dramatic. There are many ways in which you can make a braided hairstyle. You can adopt the standard tail braid or something more chic, fit for a modern wedding.

It's not necessary to wear all your hair in braids. The idea of incorporating the stylish braid into a wedding hairstyle is irresistible and very inspiring. The photos we're showing here are relevant for our subject and we think that you can find something appealing for your own wedding among these unique hairstyles.

Many women - of different styles or influences seem to adore the braided look: bohemian, traditional, modern, vintage and offbeat brides. Youthful, fun and festive, the braided look can rock at your wedding! The thin braids are ideal for those who want a halo around a cascading curling hairstyle. Use instead a thick braid to dominate your look and let a couple of loose pieces of hair falling from the sides for a dramatic yet nonchalant look.

Braids are romantic and they can be enhanced with a vintage jewelry or accessory. You can incorporate braids in a floral updo style and wear an intricate headpiece, in a sophisticated curling hairdo, with wrapped curls and pearl tiara, in a messy chignon, in a French twist or in a half up half down hairstyle.

Types of Budget Wedding Cakes

If you think that there is no way for you to cut the costs on your big wedding dessert, you are wrong, since there are many of budget wedding cakes types available out there to choose from. If you read this article it means that you plan to organize your wedding within a limited budget, meaning also that the number of your guests is somehow limited. As you can imagine, with a limited number of guests, say 40 or 50, the costs will be automatically reduced on everything that you plan purchasing within the preparation of your wedding day.

Since wedding costs are always measured in accordance with the number of guests, an intimate wedding celebration will come as well with lower total budget. So, under these circumstances, a budget wedding cake can be easily obtained. There are several types of these cakes to choose from; actually several types of obtaining this cake, better said. Nevertheless, let's which these types are:

First type would go for buying a two or three tiered wedding cake which is done in the simplest manner: the tiers, the filling in between and the icing. This is all that you need to order for when consulting with the local baker. Once you have ordered for it, after tasting as well the flavor used for the filling and icing (in this case it is better to go with the basic and less exotic one), you should go home and find ways to DIY decorate your budget wedding cake.

You will have to look online for various instructions on making edible cake toppers and decorative patterns, such as flowers, stars, or any other detail that seems to coordinate the best with the rest of your wedding colors or theme. The second type would be the cupcake budget wedding cake. This is the simplest and also a very interesting way of presenting your wedding cake to your guests.

This idea comes with tens of ideas of having the cupcakes decorated, not to mention the flavors that you can use with them. One great version of this cupcake wedding cake is to bake several flavors and decorate the cupcake in the color of the flavor, in this way you would know which is which by merely seeing the color of the decorative style adorning the cupcake.

butterflies in your wedding

Choosing a wedding theme should be fantastic. You can let your imagination run wild, and pick something that reflects your personality, lifestyle and venue. If you're looking for a fashion-forward wedding, butterfly-themed weddings are seriously on-trend for spring and summer 2012. They've fluttered their way onto dresses, wedding cakes, stationery, wedding favours!

A few things. One: the garden trend. We're obsessed with tea parties, garden parties, English tea parties in gardens. no blow-out garden party is complete without a few sets of wings.

It's not just gardens, either. For reasons not entirely clear to anyone, butterflies are getting downright hot here.

Butterflies are a symbol of change, growth and new beginnings, therefore making them a great option for any wedding event.

Back in the dark ages of the New Wedding, brides mostly "did" butterflies by sewing on a few white appliques here and there, and scheduling a butterfly release right after the vows.

So now, butterflies are likely to show up in boho/shabby-chic settings with lots of pastels, or a brighter, more contemporary wedding with blocks of high-energy color.

What could be more beautiful and feminine than a butterfly? Their graceful nature and pretty colors make butterflies one of the most special motifs to use for a wedding. These are some marvelous butterfly decorations which would add a touch of whimsy to any wedding.

The neat thing about using butterflies as a wedding decoration is that they are small and pretty. They can be used sparingly for one or two surprise details, or as a unifying theme throughout your wedding. A lovely place to begin is with wedding stationery which is either stamped or embossed with a butterfly in flight.

All little girls love butterflies, so if you use butterflies in only one part of your wedding, let it be the flower girl's attire. Start with butterfly motif flower girl jewelry. A dainty pendant featuring a sparkling crystal butterfly would be the ideal jewelry gift for a flower girl of any age.

Next, there is her dress. A white organza flower girl dress can be embellished by stitching on small lace appliques in the shape of butterflies. If you really want to go all out with the theme, use a flower girl dress in a solid color organza, and let your little one prance down the aisle wearing a set of beautiful butterfly wings.

Butterflies and flowers go hand in hand, so the wedding flowers would be a natural next place to decorate with butterflies. Colorful mixed bouquets would be even more special with a few butterflies on long wires tucked in between the flowers so they appear to be perched on the blossoms. Choose from silk, feather, or even enamel butterflies in an array of colors. To make a very bold statement, create a bridal bouquet entirely out of feather and silk butterflies, formed into a nosegay shape.

Rather than the standard white place cards, why not use die cut butterfly cards to graciously welcome guests to their seats at the reception? Simply pen the name of each guest onto a piece of heavy card stock in a butterfly shape, cut a slit into it, and perch it gracefully onto the rim of a wineglass at each place setting. As a great tie in, the same shaped paper could be used for the escort cards. Create a butterfly tree with the name and table numbers suspended from branches. This would be an equally lovely idea for an indoor or an outdoor reception.

The final wedding element to decorate with butterflies is the wedding cake. A scattering of the graceful winged creatures going up the tiers of the cake would be a gorgeous sweet ending to any wedding. The butterfly theme is so elegant and whimsical that it is sure to add a touch of magic to your wedding.

Have real, live butterflies or white doves released around you as you step out of the church, creating a true fairy tale effect. Your guests will never forget it! Neither will you.
