Global Destination Wedding Dress Styles

For today's post we thought it would be an interesting idea to show you a few beautiful wedding dress styles inspired by various locations of the world. This way those who are planning a destination wedding can get inspired for their own bridal look.

11.jpg

We know that the number of couples who decide to plan the wedding for an abroad location is constantly increasing and this is why we've decided to help the brides a little bit with relevant visual information in this regard.

Destination weddings are not all about beaches and islands. There are many other beautiful places on the glove you can explore and choose for your wedding day. But it's true that the exotic coast and island affairs are the most popular ones. If you are in for something wilder, you can opt for a rainforest or desert wedding!

12.jpg

We've seen a few gorgeous dress designs created exclusively for these fabulous venues. The decorative items and accessories you will need for these types of locations are also provided by our talented designers. So, all you need is to get there!

The first dress is inspired by the Bermuda region. This is a chicer type of gown that can fit an elegant wedding and a fashionable bride. We love the knee-length skirt and the way it adds so much femininity and flair to the bride's look. The author of this gown is Priscilla of Boston.

13.jpg

The tailored collar and the satin-organza fabric add more sleekness and a crisp look. This piece is ideal for cocktail parties planned with a '50s theme. The fancy headpiece is provided by Corine Serruya. Are you looking for something more nonchalant and bohemian? Opt for the next dress - which is inspired by the Cote D'azur venue. The cowl neckline, the black bows and the chiffon soft ruffles made for the skirt form the ideal feminine light look you need for this wedding destination. The gown is a Carolina Herrera design.

14.jpg

Below, we have a more gallant style, fit for a Switzerland wedding in Zurich. The corded lace jacket that covers this embroidered gown adds the perfect fancy detail to the bride's provocative and sheer classic beauty look. This is an Oscar de la Renta creation. For Mexico weddings we recommend the chiffon full skirt gown in the fourth picture. The fluffs and crinoline Flamenco-style appliqués add a Spanish flair to it. This design is signed by Morgane Le Fay.

15.jpg

We've reached Hong Kong now and we recommend you this alluring macramé lace gown made by Ines Di Santo. The last design is created by Temperely London and it was inspired by Cairo, Egypt.

feathered wedding dresses

Imagine you walking down the aisle in that lovely lace wedding dress, with a train flowing behind you and a white veil that accentuates your perfect hair. A nice thought isn't it? Well, one of the most crucial decisions that a bride thinks about when it comes to her wedding is the wedding dress. She may try on a lot of styles and colors but can't really decide on what she is going to take. There could all be choices like modern dresses or those vintage lace wedding dresses that are truly a classic which ne'er goes out of style when it comes to weddings. Some of these types of lacy dresses ar those what brides choose for a formal and traditional wedding usually. But first of all, we have to know what is in these lace wedding gowns and why are they really a timeless classic.

11.jpg

Let us start with the lace. This little see through fabric makes a gown breathtakingly gorgeous. Why? It has these details that have been around for years that accentuates and makes another(a) dimension of the gown that makes it away from what is so-called plain. A lace wedding dress actually gives a look of exquisiteness and gracefulness to the bride.

What does lace represent, you power ask? It represents a sense of elegance for the bride and can also be sexy astatine the same time. It conjures up images of romance to one's mind and makes you look marvelous too.

12.jpg

Now on choosing your lace dress, it is important to know what lace you want. Not all of them ar the same. There are types of lace that are stiff and itchy; others ar as soft as feather. So when you're looking astatine your wedding dress, the lace moldiness flow in harmony with the dress, non sticking out or stiff. But of course, it is important to know how to differentiate the expensive from cheap laces. However, you have to choose between comfort or budget for this.

13.jpg

When purchasing your wedding dress, you can choose the best and expensive wedding dresses from top designers. But not all of us can afford that. However, there ar also other options like purchasing a vintage lace wedding dress. There ar a number of accentuating materials for you to choose from with vintage lace wedding dresses. There is wool, cotton, mohair, fancy yarns, silk, taffeta, tulle or organza. The options ar endless. Another benefit is that these dresses often have soft and quality lace because the dress was made before the cheaper laces were commonly used. If wearing a vintage dress, have it cleaned and perfectly pressed so it will be (almost) good as new. This could be one of your most prized possessions since it has been good for a lot of years and maybe one of those old things that you keep as memories.

14.jpg

These details ar commonly used by brides who want a traditional and formal wedding. The ones who want to show their feminine and romantic sides. But it can also be used to be matched with modern weddings. It is up to the couple if they want uniqueness for their nuptial. Either way, the most important is to get matrimonial to the person you love. No matter how grand or how simple the wedding is, there is only one reason why it is being done.

About Short Vintage Wedding Dresses

Short vintage wedding dresses are really the best for short brides who love the retro style. In fact, I believe that these ladies couldn't have asked for more, because being able to have a dress in the style that you love so much and in the length that would advantage you is really fantastic and remarkable.

Besides being perfectly fit for short brides, such bridal gowns are also adorable and cute, because they have such lovely decorations that it would practically be impossible for you not to love such a wedding dress. However, our favourite vintage dress is the one with a sweetheart neckline, displaying a tight bodice and a wide (but not exaggerated) skirt that ends right above the knees. It is so elegant and sexy at the same time that a bride will most likely expose the wedding appearance she desires.

11.jpg

Anyway, short vintage gowns are not reserved only for short brides; on the contrary, tall brides may wear them as well, in case they want to expose their long and beautiful legs. Don't worry, because it won't look vulgar and cheap on you, right the opposite: it will add you a glamorous touch that the others will notice and will appreciate about you.

We have said this before, but however we feel the need or making you aware of the fact that a short dress (be it vintage or classic) will always require an elegant, sophisticated and luxurious pair of shoes. So, do not make the mistake of buying some cheap shoes, when wearing a short bridal gown. This advice must be listen by every lady, whether you are getting married, attending an event or just wearing a short dress.

12.jpg

These are the things you need to know about short vintage weddings. Apart from this, we really recommend you to try something short, in order to put emphasis on your teen spirit and at the same time to wear something different from all the other brides, who seem to take into consideration only the long bridal dresses. To be more precise, let a short bridal dress represent you on your wedding day!

Accessorizing Informal Wedding Dresses

Even a very simple wedding dress can be accessorized to emerge the bridal glamour and your informal wedding dresses would look more elegant with the right accessories. The popular accessories for your informal bridal dress can be jewelry, shoes, headpiece and bouquet. From pearls to diamonds, the right bridal jewelry will add blinks to your informal wedding dresses. Necklaces, earrings, and bracelets can all be worn with informal dresses as well.

11.jpg

It is a must with informal wedding dresses to choose stylish wedding shoes, since shorter lengths ensure the shoes are more visible than they may be with formal wedding gowns. Colored shoes, strappy sandals, and elegant heels are among the popular options. There are some informal brides who opt not to wear wedding veils, but a well chosen bridal head piece can be a great accessory to go with the informal wedding dress.

12.jpg

Tiaras, combs, clip, or barrettes with flowers, feathers, and crystals are all best suitable. Even if a bride chooses an understated wedding dress, her wedding bouquet can be elegant and attractive. The right flowers will add a burst of color and texture even if the dress lacks adornments. With these accessories, your informal wedding dresses would make you a beautiful and elegant bride in your special day.

Who pays for the wedding expenses?

Custom may hold that the bride's parents pay the majority of the costs for the wedding and wedding reception, but these days anything goes. If the wedding couple is established and good money earners, you may be expected to take on most to all of the costs associated with the wedding plans yourselves. Even the most unpretentious wedding can get very expensive, so it's sensible to follow these words of advice:

- Set your wedding budget and stick to it: It's easy to think the myth that the perfect wedding has to cost tens of thousands of dollars. Do your research and get creative when choosing wedding locations, your menus, decorations, flowers and wedding party gifts. And cut back on expenses where you can  - so that you have more money to dedicate to your wedding budget.

- Apply for a joint credit card: This makes it easier to split the wedding costs evenly, and will teach you both about what’s it is like to share each other's assets, and has the added benefit of giving you more security when making deposits for big wedding ticket items and services like the wedding meal, dress and photographer. Of course, if one of you has considerably better credit than the other, it makes sense to get a credit card in that name only and then split the monthly bill. You can also earn frequent flyer miles toward your honeymoon trip with those types of credit cards.

- Consider taking out a small loan: Okay, so maybe you do want to indulge on a lavish wedding, after all. If that is the case, you may want to consider applying for a low-interest personal loan from your local bank.

- Invite your nearest and dearest only:  The more people that attend the wedding the more costly the affair will be. Every head counts when it comes to a wedding. I always recommend only inviting those close to you…this is after all a very private and itimate event not a public showcase.

Wedding Guest Favors - Per Couple or per Person

Many wedding couples want to know if they have to give out a wedding favor to every guest attending the wedding or can it be per couple.

It's absolutely fine to give wedding favors per couple (and it certainly cuts down some of your wedding costs - substantially by doing it per couple), however the only problem may be with guests who are coming to the wedding as singles - clearly you should give them their own wedding favor so that they don't feel left out.

If you're placing them on the wedding reception tables, that can be a little difficult. A good solution might be to use wedding guest place cards. Most couples just use table cards, which are great to direct guests to specific tables, but it does allow them to sit in any seat they want at their specific table.

With place cards, you put their name in an exact spot at a specific table. When locating the wedding favors at the specific table, place each favor halfway linking the two place cards of a couple, so they'll be able to see it's for both of them. When dealing with singles, put them directly above or on top of the service plate.

Another great way to alleviate these problems is to have one of the bridesmaid’s hand them out at the wedding receiving line or at the wedding guest book – often located at the front entrance of the wedding reception.  This will be an easier way for couples to receive they favors and the same goes for the singles. And this way no one will get missed!

How To Find The Perfect Wedding Accessories For That Special Day

When planning for wedding ceremonies it will take some time to get everything organized, so it is best to start preparations months in advance. This will ensure that all the arrangements and essential accessories are finalized for the big day. If you are making preparations for this special day, then these easy steps will not just enable you to complete everything by the due date but will help you to get beautiful arrangements that everyone will love.
First of all, you need to create a list with the bridal accessories required for the wedding. For this, you must consider elements such as the venue, time and season. All of these things will help to determine the essential wedding accessories Montreal. As an example, if this is an evening winter ceremony in an open space, then the accessories need to harmonize with these things.

At this point, you need to compile all the accessories in order. You should not create a chaos by undertaking all the tasks at once. For example, you can start by making arrangements for the seating. The chairs and tables should be arranged in a way that is hassle-free for everybody to move about.
After that, look at the spot where the happy couple will tie the knot. You have to be specific whilst decorating this stage, since it is one spot where the guests will focus throughout the entire ceremony. You can make use of beautiful flowers, ribbons and candles as well as position a large framed photograph of the couple on the wall. Next, you want to focus on arranging the wedding centerpiece and table covers.
When it comes to weddings the catering should be given careful consideration, so it's best to hire professionals to prepare the menu. These professionals will provide comprehensive services for the catering and food.
Finally, for the photography and movie making it is best to hire professionals since they have the experience to deliver excellent work. If you need wedding photography work from a renowned photographer, then you should make appointment months in advance.

As you can see, carrying out your arrangements in steps will make it easier to deal with all the essential details.

What Should You Serve at a Desserts Only Wedding Reception

In order to make sure there was something for everyone at our Dessert Only Wedding we also included a vegetable tray and a fruit tray. This really went over well. Lots of people went for the vegetables and dip. We were so glad that we chose to add vegetables and fruit to our menu.
Back to our question though... What should you serve at a Dessert Only Wedding? Whatever you want of course! It should be things you like and things that you know your guest will enjoy. There really isn't much you couldn't serve as long as it was displayed correctly.

If you have ice cream on a hot day you better have some way to keep it cold until time to serve. Things that are sticky you might want to individually wrap. Some candy comes individually wrapped like candy kisses. We also had dipping spoons for things like M&M's.
We had popcorn balls (we made these small and cute), cupcakes (frosted with rope frosting and in wedding colors), rice crispy treats, yummy white cream cheese cookies (with big sugar flakes on them), plain cheese cake from Costco (toppings were homemade huckleberry sauce, chocolate, strawberry's, use your imagination). The cheese cake went really fast. This is so easy too. It comes pre-cut and all you do is put the topping on. We had cheesecake slices with several different toppings for our guest to choose from.

We also had a family member make very yummy homemade chocolate pies with the graham cracker crust. The only problem was they were made that day and had not firmed up enough by the wedding reception time. Most of them couldn't be served because they just fell apart. After they had been in the refrigerator awhile they were fine. Some things will not turn out as planned, it's ok.
A Dessert Only Wedding is a good choice. We had a 7:00 pm wedding and we noticed people ate a lot less. We actually had way too much dessert. The people who stayed to help clean up didn't mind. They got to take home lots of goodies.

In the end it comes down to what you have time to make, how will you keep it hot/cold until needed, and how will you display it. Don't be afraid to do what you want. What's that old saying? Where there is a will there is a way. Go for it!

Tips for Giving a Good Wedding Speech

Anyone who has been in a wedding has surely heard someone give a toast at the wedding reception. Often, wedding speeches are given by the father of the bride, best man, or a close friend or relative of the couple. Some of us may have been recipients of a terrible, long and embarrassing wedding toast that we would certainty never want at our own wedding. Although it can be tricky there are tips and tricks known to write and prepare for these speeches.
If you do not know almost 50 percent of the guests gathered, then plan briefly on how to introduce yourself and your relationship with the groom or bride before giving the wedding speech. Then you can start the wedding toast noting the wedding ceremony that all of you just witnessed. Think of the appropriate adjective for the wedding ceremony remark.

Like any other speeches, a wedding speech should have a beginning, middle and end part. For best man speeches, never choose to go impromptu unless you are a very good speaker and you can think on your feet. Instead, plan ahead of time by listing your ideas about the bride and groom. You can share about the views and opinions of others about their union, about their shared beliefs and passions and what you personally think of their marriage.
The best man can also recognize and express encouraging traits of the couple upon starting the wedding speech. If you want to walk quickly down memory lane with the wedding toast, then the best way to select the memory is to those one that include your experience with both the bride and groom. You can also think of any interesting anecdotes about the couple.
Basically, you should give a wedding toast that is warm, personal, and quick. If you're a natural comedian, this should be easy for you. If you're not, keep it plain and simple. Even if you have the desire to entertain, keep in mind that your words are for the bride and groom, and the wedding speech will be remembered forever. Puzzled about what to say? The Internet is full of good quotes that you can use as inspiration or even the exact words to start your best man wedding speech.

Never give a wedding speech when you are drunk. Also, go to the bathroom before giving a toast to straighten your hair and clothes, so as to have a good appearance in videos and photos.
It is not appropriate to mention past girlfriends, boyfriends or spouses in a wedding speech. Do not mention the cost of the wedding gifts or the wedding itself. Avoid talking about plans for the future the couple may have been shared to you - such as pregnancy and children. Also, avoid making jokes about the upcoming honeymoon.
Wedding speech enders should be good and optimistic. Express all the goodwill in the room for the new couple to have a happy, healthy, and prosperous married life. The toast is done at this point where champagne glasses are lifted and salutes are made to each other.

Wedding Reception Entertainment

Every bride and groom wants to show their wedding guests a great time at their reception. While music and dancing have always been a part of most weddings, these days couples often want to go the extra mile and give guests that "wow" factor. These are some trends and ideas about wedding reception entertainment.

Music is still the most popular form of entertainment at a wedding reception. The right band or d.j. can really help get a great party going, while choosing the wrong music can result in an empty dance floor and bored guests. A popular trend is to have a late night d.j. spinning the latest hits. The reception might start with a wedding band who can play a wide variety of crowd pleasing songs to appeal to a multi-generational crowd. Then later in the evening, the reception slips into after-party mode. The bride puts on a short dress with her crystal wedding jewelry, the d.j. starts playing, and late night treats like donuts or pizza are served.

Another popular form of wedding reception entertainment is dance instructors. This is a fantastic option for a bride and groom who want to get a lot of people on the wedding dance floor without playing club music. Hire a hot swing band and a pair of instructors to teach everyone all the steps (the fun part is that the older guests may already know the dances). Or you could go for a sultry Latin dance like the tango, which would be a great fit for a hot summer wedding. It would be a fabulous addition to a glamorous wedding where the bride is wearing a slinky sheath gown and crystal wedding jewelry. Your guests will have fun learning a new style of dance, and your reception will definitely be memorable.

Some couples feel that they must provide entertainment beyond dancing for their guests. Performers can be hired to do a short show. This tends to work the best when the show is in keeping with the theme of the wedding. Fire dancers would be fun for a luau reception, a Chinese dragon would be dramatic for an Asian wedding, or Celtic step dancers could do a show at an Irish-American wedding. When hiring special performers, keep in mind that a lot of guests will not enjoy experimental or avant garde artists. Performances should always be G-rated to avoid shocking anyone's sensibilities.

If you are having an evening wedding, consider going out with a bang. Fireworks have become a popular trend for nighttime celebrations. It can be a marvelous way for the bride and groom to make their grand exit or they can be done earlier during an evening reception to make sure that no one leaves early and misses the fireworks show. Of course fireworks are an expensive addition to a wedding budget, and may not be permissible at all venues, so no couple should feel like they are a must-have entertainment for their reception.
A final tip on wedding reception entertainment: don't overdo it. Many couples fall into the trap of thinking that more is better, but it is not necessary to plan a spectacle for every moment of the reception. For generations, guests did nothing more than eat, dance, and mingle at wedding receptions, and most of them were perfectly fine with that. Even today, guests can get overloaded with non-stop entertainment and it can grow tiring. Frankly, too much or too lavish entertainment can also look like the bride and groom are trying to show off how much money they spent. Choose one or two special features for your reception, if you like, and then let the rest of the evening unfold naturally. It will be the perfect balance and your guests will have a fantastic time at your wedding.

Fairytale Wedding Day

Everyone wants to have a memorable wedding. What wedding do you want to have? There are many wedding theme ideas that you can choose. Do you adore Cinderella and want to be like her? You can have a fairytale wedding to make your dream come true. It’s not difficult. One bride’s theme for a Cinderella Fairytale Wedding created an event not to be forgotten by everyone attending your wedding.

A pure white dress, flowing down to the floor, a train of endless length following gracefully behind, the veil placed strategically under a crown would be your appearance. Here, you will look like a queen. And he is your Princess, and this is your fairytale wedding. You can imagine when walking into a ballroom draped in exquisite gold fabrics and a red carpet leading down to two thrones in the middle. Gold and silver chairs on both sides of the long red carpet would be an awesome performance.

The carpet comes to an end at three steps leading up to a platform of gold and white, two tall thrones, decorated in jewels and dark colored cushions, sitting side-by-side, the prince standing before the left throne. A grand organ in the back right corner of the ballroom plays the wedding theme as the princess makes her way down the carpet, her long train following behind. And then you give your final kiss, and turn to their audience. As the ceremony comes to a close, you walk side by side down the long red carpet, white rice being tossed into the air and you go outside to be greeted by two white horses, and a round white carriage. You ride off in this Cinderella style carriage. These would be the things that you would get and experience in your fairytale wedding theme. What a wonderful wedding day!

Appealing V-neck Wedding Dresses

Wedding dress is one of the hottest topics to talk about amongst the women who are going to get married. Having a unique & magnificent wedding ceremony by wearing an elegant wedding dress is definitely a long-awaited dream for each girl in this world. When it comes to bringing the desired blueprint to reality, most girls or women really cannot help but become very exciting. These days, there is a much wider collection of wedding dresses that hits the shelves every day. Trends on these princess-like gowns are growing in a much faster rhythm than tens of years ago.

The styles and designs of wedding dresses develop quickly. You have many options on which wedding dress you are going to wear in your wedding day. If you want to flatter a classy appreciation of beauty and accent your sex appeal, choosing v-neck wedding dresses must be items you will love. If we look at the name as the name implies, the neck part on a v-neck wedding gown resembles the letter of V. There are many girls who are fond of putting an emphasis on their femininity by wearing deep v neck prom dresses on high-end banquets. But it would be different on bridal wears. We can see here that the accentuation on sex sensation is usually much more temperate, yet still appealing.

In most cases that we can find out, v-neck wedding dresses are usually made to be floor-length. As a consequence of the originally elegant beauty, wedding dress designers rarely add extravagant accessories or embellishments on those gorgeous styles. But if you want to add some luxurious sense to your wedding appearance, you are strongly recommended to wear a v-neck halter wedding gown. If it is possible, you can choose a style that carries flower or ruffle decoration around the neck halter. It’s totally believed that you will steal the show by a queen-like appearance on that memorable date.
